Getting started
Taro begins the game on his farm. In the beginning it is best to clear the land and prepare the harvest. This will earn money and get you acquainted with the game.
First Taro needs to use his sickle, axe and hammer to clear the field of any debris. Selecting the appropriate tool, standing next to the item, and then pressing ‘5’ will do the job. Then he needs to shovel the land, water a square, plant a seed, water the soil once more then wait for the crops to grow. Once the crop is ready, pick it up and take it to the shipping box. Clearing grass and wood will store them in the silo, which, in turn, is used to feed pets and build things later on.

The other farming items Taro has:
Shovel - used for digging
Hammer - smash rocks
Watering can - for watering crops
Axe - chop wood, remove stumps
Sickle - for clearing crops and weeds
Seeds – plant in wet ground

* note: Taro can only carry a limited number of items with him, he can store and change out different items from the chest in his home. Visit his house, go the chest in the bottom right of his room and hit select. Here you can select items to store and carry with him.

6 Steps to Farming

Step 1: DIG a patch with your SHOVEL
Step 2: WATER your plot with your WATERING CAN (can be filled in the lake)
Step 3: sew your SEED
Step 4: WATER your seeds daily to produce healthy PLANTS
Step 5: WATER your PLANTS daily to produce healthy FRUITS
Step 6: SELL the ITEMS by placing them in your SHIPPING BOX (northwest corner of field) to generate INCOME (each afternoon Tia Hart will come by and pick up items placed in shipping box and pay Taro)

Using tools will make Taro tired and hungry, be sure to eat and sleep regularly. If Taro gets too tired he will pass out and sleep late. Taro will oversleep if he isn’t in bed by midnight.

Eating & Endurance
Early on, Taro has a limited amount of endurance. Taro gains/regains endurance points by eating food; different foods will result in different increases. To eat something, press '1' while the item is selected in inventory. Additionally, food can be purchased at the Shop.
